In comparison with other Magazines and double page spreads, i have tried to be original, yet gain inspiration and ideas from other magazines.
This is an example of one of the double page spread examples I used.
I used this double page spread as inspiration for my choice of design as it has a stereotypical, yet unique feel to it. It is a classic example. The main image overflows partly over both pages with writing, around, or on it. The main words are highlighted and the font made bigger to enable them to jump out from the page. The example above uses this sort of theme with the text highlighted within an intriguing template. Furthermore, there is a small bit of text to the bottom right of the image explain what the image is about, which is a common feature of text based media (Newspapers, magazines etc). The image is also very revealing into his character and what he has been through. It is a typical rock legend style, with the dark fading light in the dingy woods behind the old looking isolated house. It symbolises how hard his life has been the last few years, isolated and alone.
I tried to input this into my magazine. The image on my double page spread shows the band looking very happy and laughing, which represents how they are feeling in reality. The article in my magazine clearly shows how light hearted their lives are and how they are loving every minute of it, which can be seen and shown through my image used.
