Evaluative Question 4 - Who would be the audience for your media product?

This is Shellie and Rhinnaon. Both are 16 years old and enjoy pop, chart music. They are very socialable and go out reguarly. They are particular fans of the boy band JLS and love their music. They have downloaded every single song that JLS have released and often attend concerts in which they are performing. They are also very keen on The Wanted and love their style of music. Both of these girls are very fashionable, alike the boy bands and would like to have boyfriends who dress similarly to those members of their favourite boy bands! They are very into other forms of media such as films, and go the cienma a lot together to check out the latest movies. Furthermore, they go out and buy movies to watch together, whenever they are not singing along together to their favourite boy bands.
My target audience for my magazine would be girls like these, who enjoy popular chart music and are into the style of a boy band similar to JLS or The Wanted. My magazine targets these types of target audience, girls and boys aged from early to late teens.



Now meet Jordan. He, alike Shellie and Rhiannon, is very much into popular chart music, and reguarly throws parties featuring music from modern boy bands and other chart music that people like to dance to. He is very much in tune with new music, and likes to be completely up to date as well as catching up on the latest gossip within the music industry. He loves films, and his favourite TV shows are Friends, Scrubs, Hollyoaks, Mock The Week, and Outnumbered. Jordan is also very appreciative of a good singing voice and has a wide range of genres of music that he likes to listen to depending on his mood, although his favourite is most definately chart music.
Jordan would be my ideal target audience. He is 15 and likes to keep up to date with all the latest music, news, gossip, and upcoming events within music! These are all the things my magazine offers, as well as plenty more. The boy band on the font cover of my magazine and on my double page spread, would be ideal for Jordans favourite type of music. Jordan needs to fulfill his lust for the latest songs and future releases can be fed to him every two weeks through my magazine as well as competitions and chances to win tickets to live shows featuring his favourite artists! Jordan needs MB magazine!
